The cold weather also causes blood vessels to narrow, which decreases blood flow to muscles. This modulation of brain activity works in conjunction with the health benefits of improved sleep to help ground individuals, leading many to find symptoms of anxiety are lessened when taking CBD into their daily routine.

  • CBD can cause relaxation of the muscles by regulating calcium movement in muscle cells and soothing overactive nerves. This can relieve the additional tension caused by cold-induced contraction, leaving muscles feeling looser and less sore. The CBC compound found in full spectrum oils can reduce inflammation in the body, this happens as the CBC inhibits the breakdown of anandamide, an endogenous cannabinoid found in the body. Anandamide regulates and reduces inflammation in the body, the heightened CBC presence means there will be more anandamide, and therefore less inflammation. A decrease in inflammation results in greater mobility and relaxation of muscles in the body.

  • This decrease in inflammation can decrease nerve irritation and hypersensitivity that contributes to symptoms of motoneuron diseases.
